Gainsharing
A client needed more knowledge about some different financial-based forms of remuneration we talked about: Gainsharing.
It might be good to have a definition here: Employees are financially rewarded based on the collective performance of the organisation or a specific department through gainsharing, a workplace incentive program. Unlike traditional profit-sharing, which distributes a portion of overall profits to employees, gain-sharing typically focuses on improvements in productivity, efficiency, cost reduction, or other performance metrics. When employees meet or exceed certain predetermined goals or targets, they are rewarded with bonuses or incentives, which fosters teamwork and collaboration towards common objectives. Gainsharing aims to align employee interests with organisational goals and foster a culture of continuous improvement and shared success.

Talent management leaders are under such pressure to deliver solutions quickly that many aren't properly identifying problems first, but there is a way to conduct root cause diagnosis quickly and simply, an expert says.

The fact talent is now a top priority for CEOs means leaders in the field are getting more C-suite attention, but also receiving less patience, says Jasleen Kaur, a senior principal in Gartner's HR research and advisory practice.

"Gone are the times when we could turn to our CEO and say, let me take this back, do a little digging, and get back to you," she told Gartner's recent ReimagineHR conference.

"By the time we're done with the probing [and] solution design, we've missed our boat; the CEO attention is gone..."
